The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary (Church of Rožario) in Dubrovnik and the stairs leading to it are one of the most important and spiritually significant places in the city. Located in the eastern part of the old town, this church has been an important pilgrimage destination and spiritual center for the local population throughout history.

The church is located on the higher part of the town, and the long stairs leading up to it are an attraction in themselves. These stairs not only connect the church to the rest of the city, but also offer wonderful views of Dubrovnik and its surroundings. The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary was a church where rich people came for Holy Mass. Note that the gaps between the armrest columns are filled in, and this was to prevent peeking under the women’s dresses when going up the stairs.
