Game of Thrones - The late medieval walled city has a unique old town with breathtaking Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains. Other extraordinary sights in Dubrovnik include the Church of St. Blaise, Dubrovnik Cathedral, Sponza Palace, the Dominican Monastery and the Franciscan Monastery, which was featured in the TV series. Emerald City - Dubrovnik is inspired by the city of Oz and has been used as a backdrop for movie scenes. James Bond - The most famous spy is rumored to be taking over the city of Dubrovnik. Some sources claim that Dubrovnik was secured by the spy teams from the James Bond films as one of the locations for their next film.
